How do I join?
Membership is open to all persons eighteen (18) years of age and older who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club. Please contact us for more information, come to a meeting and meet us!
When is the monthly meeting?
CKC meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month at the Central Public Library in Central, SC.

What is a Canine Good Citizenship test and where can I find one?
Per the American Kennel Club, the Canine Good Citizenship program, started in 1989, is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the CGC test receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club and as of January 1, 1999, they are automatically recorded in the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Archive. Anderson Dog Works offers CGC testing regularly.
Where can I find handling classes?
We offer a course of handling lessons about once per year. Also the Anderson Petsmart dog trainer teaches ongoing handling lessons.
How do I get a premium list?
Premiums become available about four months before the show (September, for our January shows). You can locate the show in the Infodog show calendar for South Carolina, and download the electronic premium there.
Also, most dog shows have a table where premium lists, match announcements, etc. are available.
You can request to be put on the mailing list to receive premium lists, however, it usually takes at least 4-6 weeks to receive them initially.
Who is the superintendent for the shows?
